If there’s one thing that is consistent in UX design it’s the creation of products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users.

I entered the world of UX/UI design in my 30’s. Here are 10 things I’ve learnt as a New UX Designer after working in the UX field for 6 months.

My first discovery of mental models was when I did a short course in Cognitive Psychology. Upon completing my studies, I realised how useful it is to familiarise myself with this concept and learn how to make interactions better without removing or changing the user’s expectations.

When incorporating accessibility guidelines into our user experience (UX) designs, we tend to focus on the 15% of global occupants with disabilities, particularly those with visual impairments. By being inclusive of this user segment, we may improve the user experience for other users too.

As ancient humans, we wondered about the things we saw and experienced and questioned why the world is the way it is. Philosophy began to understand the world without relying on religious or mythical ideas and to provide explanations to satisfy our capacity for rational thought.
